| 13 th April 2010 Took a friend for lunch.A new menu meant that the pleasant waitress did not know the menu.Ordered mackreal pate.This was OK.Two main meals were a burger which was poorly presented and proportioned.It gave the impression of been fashioned for a cricket match rather than a lunch menu item.My friend had a crab and crayfish pasta dish this was in edible cold and tasteless for £35 pounds this was not a place I could recommend to anyone.No apology[Report for Removal] | rob jones Frimley surrey |

| Unfortunately our group were disappointed with our meal. We found the Crab Risotto cold and very disappointing for a main meal at £11.95 this was a high price for such a small portion. Burgers were not seasoned well and the Cheeky Pig should have been described better prior to ordering. The lighting was very poor and we could not read the menus properly. I dont feel that we would return for a meal there again. We work for a very large international company where it is used on a daily basis by colleagues. | Recently visited the windmill for lunch for the first time. Had a new waitress her first day. She did not know the menu and had to keep going and asking other staff. Surely staff should know the menu. Also had a salad and a BLACK SMALL BEETLE appeared in it.... disgusting... no apology from the manager. | THe Windmill has recently been refurbished and I took my sister to see how the place had changed. We found it warm and comfortable. There has been a change in the management so that the staff were friendly and helpful. The menu has a mix of popular as well as more diverse meals to choose from. | I book my 50 birthday a month in advance, so you would expect that they would cater for this as it ws a large party. The table was booked for 8pm. There were no specials left and when we placed our order they kept coming back to say they had sold out. The food also had to be sent back and the quality was very poor. It seems that the pub is run by teenages who do not seem to know what they are doing. Very disappointed as when I ate there last year it was lovely and that is the reason I booked it for my birtherday. | The Windmill seems to have gone through a transition in the last few months! Friendly efficient service fantastic food very good wines at silly prices....... and a great vibrant atmosphere. My only worry is that we now need to book, as you cannot guarantee a table on busy nights. Last night we couldnt even get in the carpark!! | Tried this pub after its convertion to a "gastro pub" awful!! decided to retry after friends from Kent had some Times vouchers. No Bitter that our friends wanted, no menus, had to ask, no salt & pepper on table. Arrived at 2.15pm, very slow service, had to ask for first course plates to be removed,in the pasta the meatballs were dry, waited again for plates to be cleared, then waited 20 min for desert.The bill was wrong & had to be corrected. We left at 4.10pm, nearly 2 hrs for a 2 course meal. Never again, dont go, try THE BEE in School Lane round the corner.[Report for Removal] | F C Camberley Surrey |

| We should have decided to leave when we realised that no bitter was available - that's right all bitter was off. We sat down to eat and were not handed any menus. Some while later we ordered at the bar and then waited for our food for a good 40 mins. Due to a misunderstanding one dish came first, the others some 20 mins later. Despite high prices, portions were small. When the size of the 10oz burger was queried the waitress said: "What do you want me to do, weigh it?" Not only was the burger tiny, it was burnt and had no bacon on.Woman behind bar and our waitress were both snappy (maybe it's their red hair). When asked for a jug of tapwater she said: "We don't do jugs." | Well, sadly the Windmill has taken a dramatic decline in food and service. The problem is that there is no real leadership here, and the management seem inexperienced. This is a great shame, as this is a handy venue, a great meeting place and lots of character. My second to last visit was dreadful with food being served that was not fit for consumption.
