| We arrived at this pub after a long day in Scarborough with out 17 month old, and me being 8 months pregnant. I ordered a ploughmans and my husband ordered a double portion of Nachos. my son was very hungry and was getting upset, then 10 minutes later the waitress came and said they had no ham for the Ploughmans but they had cold beef or pork. The thing is, my son won't eat pork or beef so I asked if some gammon or bacon could be substituted instead. I was told I would have to pay extra for this (which I wasn't happy about) so I asked to see the manager. A short while later another member of waiting staff came out to say that I would have to pay extra for gammon or bacon and I had to ask again to see the manager. He eventually came out and said he wouldn't be able to give me either of those things and when I said that they hadn't told us at the time of ordering and my son was hungry he was very rude and said there was nothing he could do. I then said I had asked twice to see the manager before he came out and he said he was 'busy cooking' and didn't have time. I said that surely he was still 'the manager' though and he said I was beginning to annoy him and that we could have our money back and go elsewhere. He was very confrontational and stormed up to the table speaking loudly as he said this. He also touched my 17 month old son on the arm and kind of spat 'I feel sorry for you' at him which frightened him. Awful Awful Pub. Avoid at all costs!!![Report for Removal] | Mrs R Code Rotherham South Yorkshire |
