| The food is poor. the rooms are dirty. Really dirty. They hadn't cleaned the toilet! You don't want to take your socks off because the carpets were filthy, stained and certainly not hoovered ... sheets are not cleaned properly and the coverlet was stained. Carpets were dirty. All this for £69. We didn't stay for our breakfast because we just couldn't face it. [Report for Removal] | mat london london |

| I went for a roast chicken sunday dinner with my fiance yesterday the 30th march 09. The young barman ignored me when I asked if they take visa, so I have to wait and ask someone else. The food was terrible the chicken had blood in both chicken breasts. I suffered with diarrhoea all night last night and still have it this morning. I imagine the bloody chicken has had something to do with it.. When I told the manageress that there was blood in the chicken she was abrupt and rude, very abrasive. She took the plates away to the kitchen then came back to ask what should i do about it in a real rude manner. Not I'm sorry that we might end up giving you food poisoning or we wont charage you for the meal. She then said I asked you twice if the food was ok, this was said in a real nasty way.. At the time I said it was ok because I was eating a piece of carrot. | This place looks lovely on the pics, but it's not. It's dusty and dirty and the carpets are grubby. To get into our room you had to climb on to the bed as the door actually hit the bed when fully opened. Our friends shower was taped up with sellotape. All of this though, I could handle, not an issue, I'm well travelled and have stayed in worse places. The real issue was the staff & lack of any kind of customer service. Day 1 our tomtom was stolen from the hotel premises, the staff were utterly disgraceful in how they handled the situation. Basically they didn't!! It was difficult trying to even get a police station phone number from them. Day 2 no hot water left after 2 of our party of 8 had a shower. Being a couple of hours from attending a wedding along the road, we asked what they could arrange for us. The 2 guys that ran the place basically shrugged their shoulders and couldn't understand why we were upset. One of them grinned and said, 'what do you want me to do, boil a kettle for you!' Honestly, not one word of a lie, can you believe that!? Absolutely shocking! It could have been handled so much better, but the attitude of the 2 male members of staff was really quite shocking. We said we wanted to check out and asked if we could agree on some reduced rate for the inconvenience of having to find a new hotel an hour before the wedding, the response was, 'if you don't pay in full, I'll just send the police to your friends wedding up the road'. We paid, ofcourse we did, we're decent people. | Please do not believe the website - beer OK rooms and food dreadful - hour wait for a steak that had to be sent back twice - 'chef' obviously hadn't reach the steak cooking class at the local tech. Breakfast no better undercooked bacon, no frills produce, large teapot for two with only one tea bag -complained advised to give it a good wind up - I think this place is a wind up. Room small with big furniture and dusty dried flowers, loose bathroom shelf which threw everything in the washbasin. Bed hard and dirty stained carpets.
