| Hadn't been to The Gate for a couple of years. Went for a family get-together and had a fantastic evening. Top quality food, and well kept real ale, all reasonably priced. Was a little disapointed to find out that the current owners are leaving after 21 years, but was pleasantly surprised to hear that the son was taking over. I used The Gate fairly often a few years ago when the son was running the place and I'm delighted to hear that it's staying in the family.
