| This pub usually offers a reasonable variety at a fair price unfortunately sometimes the staff let the place down. One waitress in particular has no diplomacy and poor people skills. After arguing with my partner and I she stated with relish that she had worked there for 10 years.I find it amazing that she still has no idea regarding customer care after a decade in the trade. | pubs looks to cramed looks like they want to get as many people in and get more money. we ordered below: - Rump Steak medium rare, chips peas o The steak was mainly fat which is to be understood as it is the rump but there was hardly no meat on there and the girl who had the meal didn’t enjoy it at all, further to this the table next to us with an old couple and a friend had the same problem with their meal. - Wensleydale cheese chicken with potatoes o The chicken was nice and the sauce was perfect but the potatoes wasn’t thoroughly cooked and was rock hard - Gunnies and ale pie with new potatoes o The pie had obviously been micro waved because the bottom was rock hard and had burn marks, the potatoes wasn’t too bad, and vegetables was ok - Hunters chicken from special board o My partner enjoyed her meal and said It was rather nice, i recomend driving 5 miles up road and go to the chase gate never had a problem there.
