| I've heard good things and bad about the bulls head over the years, and decided to give it a go. Probably wont again though! Bar staff didnt look like they wanted to serve us, they were hapily giggling amongst themselves, and one of these i realised later was probably the manager. Ordered our food, beef and ale pie and hunters chicken which arried promptly. Pie crust was burnt. Cheddar mash tasted like dried out smash with what looked like breadcrumbs on it, definately lacking in cheddar somewhere! This was with both the meals along with lukewarm vegetables.Hunters chicken dish was nice though. During the meal we were asked 3 times if we wanted anymore drinks, despite having half full glasses. After our meals our pudding orders were taken from the table. We chose an apple crumble and a coffee. The apple crumble was delicious, and the custad had skin on which is always a plus for me. The coffee was nice, but probably a bit strong for most people. Almost as soon as i'd put the last mouthful into my mouth the bill was placed on the table, which made us feel rushed, despite the pub being fairly empty. But not having to pay at the bar was nice.
