| Absolutely one of the worst pubs I have visited. The food was awful, the atmosphere - or lack of as there was not another soul in place - was very sadly lacking. I used to frequent this pub a huge amount in years gone by - in the days when it was a vibrant hub of the village run by people who could proudly call themselves 'Landlord' and 'Landlady' and knew what those titles meant.... Why, oh why do people think they can take over a pub and make a success of it when they haven't got the first clue about how to run it? People skills??! - Well, do these people know what that actually means...? Sadly not...... If you want to have a good laugh, good food, a great experience.... make sure you swerve this place like the plague... | Not a pleasant experience at all, the food was well under cooked and no one at our table enjoyed the meal. As far as Pub food goes, the food served was in no way exceptable, and I will definately not be re-visiting the Boot at Chipperfield again.[Report for Removal] | TONY Hemel Hempstead Herts |

| Absolutley unbelivievable experience - the Sunday Roast was the worst I have ever tasted very undercooked - in fact I would say the veg was raw! We ate hardly any of the food and when we complained the landlord actualy threatened to call the police. We were prepared to pay for half of our bill (far more than we actualy ate) but he wasn't willing to accept that. What a delightful way to spend your Birthday!!!! So to sum up terrible food, terrible service and an all round terrible experience - if this sounds like how you'd like to spend your Sunday then The Boot in Chipperfield is the place for you, however if you like to have a nice relaxing Sunday with good food and pleasant staff - avoid The Boot like the plague![Report for Removal] | Melissa Milton Keynes Bucks |

| Absolutely Wonderful! My Husband and I have also been to this pub on a Sunday and the roasts were delicious. If you have visited here in the past and have not been impressed by the food then you must give it another chance. They apparently have a new chef now and it certainly makes a difference. The weekly menu also looks lovely with deserts hard to resist. All the staff were pleasant and friendly and I had a lovely chat with the land lady. The Boot is clean and well presented. | We eat at the boot regularly and the food is absolutely lovely, The sunday roasts are one of the best I have had, well cooked home made food, The staff are friendly and helpful and we are always made to feel welcome. we took our parents there last week and my mum is already asking when we can go back.[Report for Removal] | Kim bovingdon hertfordshire |
