| I ordered the fish, chips and a pea paste, my friend ordered a beef in pastry dish which she said was good. However, my fish turned out not to be cod or haddock but something which tasted more like pollock, which I didn't like. The batter was tempura-style, which I didn't like either. The chips were chunky and good but the pea paste was tasteless. The only reason I didn't complain at the time was because I was a guest of my friend and didn't want to embarrass her. I was disappointed with the meal. The service was a little slow, we waited about 40 mins for our main course but the staff were friendly and polite. The atmosphere was good, with most seats taken so I presume other meals on the menu might be better than the fish dish I had.
