| My worst meal of 2009. Tonight we decided to accept the Plough's £10 Sunday roast offer instead of going to the Toby Carvery. On our arrival we were told that they had run out of roast beef before 3pm and could only have roast chicken, which we agreed to. After a long wait the meal arrived. It had everything on the plate that you would associate with a roast beef dinner, including a Yorkshire pudding. On top of this meal was a very boney, rather dry and tasteless portion of chicken with very little meat on it. A large amount of gravy swamped the rest of the meal including the Yorkshire pudding. With a mixture of chicken and Yorkshire pudding it didn't even resemble a typical Sunday Roast and tasted so bland that it was uneatable. After that experience I went home hungry so I'm afraid that this pub will not be on my list in the future. Jack Cox [Report for Removal] | Jack Cox Warrington Lancs |

| If you have children then you’re far better taking them to a place that caters for them rather than what’s essentially a standard country pub. I’ve eaten at the Plough many times and never had any cause to complain whatsoever. It does get very busy especially if their running the 2 meals for a fiver promotions but the fact that it’s always quite busy is proof enough that the foods good. Weekends can get especially busy and the wait can be long but at least there’s a good selection of real ales to sample while your waiting. [Report for Removal] | Bill Green Warrington Cheshire |

| We went for the first time to The Plough today at the recommendation of my friends. The staff are warm and courteous, attentive without being too invasive and the food was delicious. Very good value for money, fresh and tasty. We will be going back next Sunday. I noticed the other review from the lady who's child had the football. There were no children in the pub whilst we were there and I must say we had a quiet meal. I am not against children in a pub but sometimes its very annoying when people allow their children to dash in and out of a place , making a racket and spoiling the enjoyment of other diners. Most children I know are well behaved when eating out but there is a small minority who's parents think they can dump their children as soon as the enter a pub and don't care who they disturb. We will be returning again to the plough , if I wanted to take young children with me I would go to The Wacky Warehouse!.[Report for Removal] | s moores warrington cheshire |

| Went to this pub on the 21.02.09 for an evening meal with friends. The food was atrocious, totally unacceptable, most of the food we tried to order was not availabe, they had run out. My boyfriend ordered a prawn coctail for starters, the prawn coctail arrived but with only 10 smaal prwans a minimal salad on the side, we approached the waitress about this and she said that 'all potions are measured and that was adequate as astarter portion!', she also added that the brewery even ask them to 'measure the squirty cream that is put on the desserts!'. My friends main meal arrived and it was supposed to be chicken with warm BBQ sauce and melted cheese on top, the meal came with the chicken, a cup of BBQ sauce on the side and grated cheese on the side of the plate! My boyfriends ordered steak for his main course, the meal came with just the steak and a full plate of chips, nothing else! It was thw worst meal we have had in years and we eat out at least once a week. We would never go again! xxxxx[Report for Removal] | nicola taylor warrington cheshire |

| The Plough in Cinnamon Brow, Warrington. I visited this Pub the other night c/o my 2 children. was very disappointed with the attitude of the Landlord. The sight of a Football (one of my kids was holding) almost gave him a coronary)! Most child unfriendly Pub i have ever set foot in. Apparantly, the Landlord has a bad reputation in the local area for his unfriendly attitude towards children. Surely a local Pub is there to serve the Community??!
