| Today I should have stayed at home.At the Bears Paw,Sunday lunch was tough gray beef,thin gravy and insipid veg, no garnish or butter,a teaspoonful of horseradish between two,a waiter with not very salubrious hands,who handled the eating part of each piece of our cutlery,and which in any case was not clean.The underside of my dinner plate was sticky with something,there was a stain on my napkin and also on the runner on the table. For this culinary experience,plus a half of Guiness.and a shandy,we paid £18 Is it me? Are my standards too high?
