| The guy cutting the roasted meat spoke in grunts.the vegetables were cold, cauliflower cheese sauce was watery. The yorkshire pud and stuffing were rock hard{think they were the left overs from Sunday}You could not choose where you wished to sit you were told. The visit to the toilet was awful the smell of drains was terrible. When we went to sit in the garden it was littered with cig buts. The guy behind the bar was the only friendly member of staff. | I went to the Hare and Hounds with family and friends today (9 people) expecting a good service and nice food just as we have had during previous visits. One of our party is a 3 year old with coelics and really enjoys the jacket potato with tuna they serve. We have been on many sundays and have been told everytime that they do not serve jacket potatos on a sunday but they will see if they have one, this is always followed by yes. Today, however, we were told by the landlady that we should never on these occasions been served a jacket potato and that her staff should have asked her first and could we point out who has served on previous visits. Even though they did have the potatos and her staff and chef were happy to sort it for a hungry 3 year old she was exceptionally rude and made it very clear that it was sunday and they were not going to serve it. At this point her bar manager (chip off her arrogant block) took away the food receipt and gave us our money back - what a way to say we weren't welcome! So rather than make one jacket potato they were happy to lose 9 customers who will under no circumstances be returning. | I went here yesterday with my partner after a nice day out, I asked about tomato sauce and was told they do bot have any, No problem I went to the shop next door and bought some, I had just sat back down and a member of staff approached me to tell me to put my OWN FOOD AWAY and that BRINGING MY OWN FOOD IN was not allowed, I agreed explain very politely that I would be complain to head office,Next some snarling little hitler turned up , as soon as i started to explain that i had paid for the meal, that they did not sell sauce or I would gladly have purchased from them instead of paying near £2.00 for a small bottle , form the corneer shop , this womans reply was that they did not serve fried food,Hmm so sauce only goes on fried food, She was very rude and told us not to return as we would not be served again , we spent the remainder of the meal being stared at by around 6- 7 staff , I did not see one notice anywhere warning that sauce would not be allowed, landlady is a dictator telling people what goes with what food,, customers always right NO [Report for Removal] | robert oldham greater manchester |

| Went to this pub last night with family the meal was under cooked and cold the service was bad.Then to cap the evening of we went to sit outside in the warm air and at 10 o,clock was asked to come in side then all the doors were locked also the fire exit chained with a padlock when we came to leave we had to be let out we asked the lanlord why peaople were locked in and why a fire escape was locked the reply was "if you don,t like it don,t fucking come back" Charming in front of my children as well i will be speaking to marston next.[Report for Removal] | w.mitchell sale manchester |

| without doubt the worst experience of my life going to this place.brought my wife and a friend in about three weeks ago for a traditional Sunday roast. The whole thing was a complete insult. The roast potatoes were the size of beans, the veg was clearly from the freezer. My meal was cold as were the plates. the waitresses were nowhere to be scene and when I sent my meal back it took them a further 10 minutes to bring it back by which time my companions had finished. | Great pub! Sunday roasts are brilliant and real value for money. The 2 4 1 offer meant that we only paid about £5 each to eat. The staff are all really friendly and helpful which is hard to come by nowadays. Its clean and tidy (again hard to come by nowadays!) and my family all thoroughly enjoyed our day out at the Hare. | I have just returned from the Hare and Hounds, where I have enjoyed a superb family meal. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, the staff welcoming and efficient. We enjoyed a choice from both the main menu and also a fantastic specials board and the quality of food was exceptional in all cases. As all the meals were included in the 2-4-1 deal this visit was incredable value for money. I look forward to returning soon and could only score this pub/restaurant 10/10.
