| I visited the Spread Eagle for lunch on 17th July 2007. It was pretty poor. The service was slow: only one person was serving behind the bars, while at the same time trying to take food orders at a till on the other side of the room. The menu is pricey: we had salmon and prawns at £8.95 (if memory serves) and a curry at £6.95. The food was plain and the salmon pretty greasy. Mine was supposed to include a salad, but (I realised as I was finishing) it didn't arrive. I had to ask for a clean knife because the one supplied hadn't been washed properly.
