| We visited this pub recently. Ordered a meal. After an hour plus went to find out where the meal was.I received a less than satisfactory response from the management. The excuse for the delay was that a medium rare rib eye takes 20 minutes to cook!! The Basil who is the manager when asked for french mustard said "We don't serve French Mustard - it ruins the taste of the food." This from a gastronome who serves sachets of salad cream. Fawlty is alive and well in Torbay at this pub!!! What ever happened to the customer being treated with respect. | This is a great pub, the way pubs used to be. The food is very good with a range from cheap pub grub to excelent sea food platters. The range of beers has to be seen to be believed everything from Devon Glory real ale, to extra cold fosters. They also have at least two ciders on the go at any one time. There is live entertainment every night of the week during the summer season, and every weekend in the winter. Look out for the Quirky Quiz on a Thursday.... It's a fun quiz not a brain strain and there is always a laugh to be had. Bmad Bikers hold thier meetings on a wednesday night. Generally this is a pub for adults, although well behaved children are welcome. The pubs motto is 'come as strangers leave as friends'.
