| I live locally to The Old Inn and after its takeover by Hall and Woodhouse my family and friends X 5 decided to visit on 31st December 2007 for an afternoon meal. One hours wait later the meal arrived but not what was ordered !! The food portions were minimal poorly presented a greasy spoon roadside cafe would have provided better. The staff were all disaffected with the Brewery. We were overcharged, but the Manager did compensate for this by reducing the bill. and we shook hands. Terrible service, Bad Food, Incorrect Charging. Would we ever go again. NO WAY. [Report for Removal] | O R NEWTON NEWTON ABBOT DEVON |

| Having just finished a £700,000 refurb it all looks very nice clean and airy. The solid wood beams have been sand blasted removing years of old world feel and a new roof covers the conservatory. This has changed the feel of the Old Inn but maybe it was due. The menu is limited but nice and fairly priced. If you are an old customer the big plates and enormous mixed grill has gone. Warm in the winter with real fireplaces blazing and a big beer garden for the summer. Parking is limited in the pub carpark so expect to pay for parking in the village carpark across the road in the summer. [Report for Removal] | Phillip Barlow Paignton Devon |
