| Having had a small refurbishment and new friendly faces this pub is a big favourite amongst me and my work colleagues also my family who come to meet me in my lunch hour especially for the pub lunch. They have a fantastic day menu with lots of choices for only £4.99 - the lasagne is a MUST along with ham, egg and chips. | The Swan is under new management (Oct 2010) and the changes have been subtle but the whole atmosphere has dramatically changed. The new management and staff are warm and inviting, you can’t help but feel like a welcomed guest into their home. The menu is excellent offering amazing value for money, the food is just how home cooked pub food should be. You must try the home made chips! This is the prefect pub for that relaxed experience and I will definitely be recommending it to anyone who wants great food, exceptional service and value for money. | Following an evening going to see a band I have seen in many other pubs across Kent I was very disappointed by the aggressive behaviour of the lead bar man (manager/supervisor) at the end of the night. The band and fans were made to feel they had to keep together as he got out a weapon of some sort (an extendable nightstick by the looks of it) outside the pub and went for the lead guitarist whilst letting fly with insults, purely on the fact he blamed them for the lack of people in the pub, despite this band packing out pubs across the county and The Swan being empty before-hand. I'd like to point out that the rest of the staff were great up to that point, and good in keeping the situation from getting out of hand, so well done to them![Report for Removal] | Dave Tonbridge Kent |
