| booked a table for four midweek evening so not busy, food was poor,waited an hour between starter and main course . returned main as inedible. bar was understaffed, wrote letter of complaint and have not had any reply. will not be returning and will not recommend to anyone else.[Report for Removal] | h shepherd hastings east sussex |

| whilst visiting relatives on the south coast, we would often go the the lamb for a meal. NOT ANYMORE. The food was terrible the had run out of rump steak and sausages on a saturday evening at 5pm. the steak was firstly over cooked,it went back, then it was so ropey it was enedible it went back again. we gave up. the waiting staff were embarassed by the rubbish that was comimg out of the kitchen.Such a shame as the surrounding countryside is wasted, missed opportunity. Give this place a real wide berth, best of all we complained profusely to the managing company with specifics about our latest and LAST experience and they did not even have the courtesy to reply, a plot of land that is well worthy of being turned into a block of flats as far as we are concerned, a rather large rasberry blown in the face of them all. | Went to the Lamb 05/01/08 for an evening meal to celebrate a friends birthday, arrived 8pm and got one of the last tables (you cannot book a table)got some drinks and sat down. Looked good so far!! (had not been there for several years) The barman had informed us that there was a 45 min. wait for food so we decided to order quickly and enjoy our drinks while we waited, on my return to the bar to order, I was informed that "the power had failed in the kitchen", although everything else was fine!!!, and hot food was now not available!!!!! We left, as did most others including several who had only had starters!! The staff did suggest we could pay for our drinks but we politely declined (the Speckeled Hen was too cold anyway!!!!!). | Over the last 14 years i have eaten at the lamb app 100 times !!!!! i have seen change of staff and management nothing stays the same anywhere but to-day was the worst meal i have ever had,and i even left my large glass of red wine as it tasted like slops! (I am not a fussy wine drinker}The Chicken i had was very hot on the out side and luke warm in the middle{Health hazzard}A great selection of fresh steamed veg Peas and Carrots only,We eat there as meals are available allday,{Or we did}i have never seen the place so quite but the staff were not very aware of customers,others as well as us,I was glad to get out of there and have never had such a small Bill it is usually at least twice as much if not more,I have been there on a summers weekend and waited nearly an hour for our meal which used to be worth waiting for,the prices are now up and the selection is not good,So i think is is time to make changes before it's to late,once trade goes down it is very hard to win back your customers.[Report for Removal] | Carol Derwin Bexhill on Sea East Sussex |
