| Visited just before christmas with family. This is an old smugglers pub on Romney marsh and being a few centuries old, is full of charm and character. The pub has two cosy bars featuring one with a lovely open fireplace roaring away on our winter visit. Good choice of ales but the best thing about this pub is the food.I had the mixed grill which was superb.All the food is locally sourced produce and the portions are enormous! It's a little pricey for pub food but you really do get alot for your money. The staff are very friendly too.
