| The food at the Drum was very nice but after finding what looked like crystals in the bottom of my half finished glass of wine when I pointed this out,I was asked to pay again for another type of white wine as other bottles of my chosen wine had this problem. That was OK but after being told that there was no apple pie left and then the table next table ordered the pie and was told that they could have the last portion. I pointed out that I had requested this before the table's order was taken. I received nothing but abuse from the waitress and left feeling very unhappy - completely spoiled my day. Will never visit again.[Report for Removal] | I Kelly dover kent |

| The Drum Inn Stanford North Ashford Kent Tn25 6DN To All Our Customers New & Old Its with great sadness that I find in today’s current climate I have to find the time out to send review messages about myself to reassure people that the quality and hospitability of The Drum Inn Stanford North is as high as its always been. When new competition comes along to pub lie about the food and write reviews and even post at least one of them before they have even had their meals, I have no choice but to respond in this fashion to reassure people that it is no more than sourer grapes on their part. I could mention who they are but I don’t is the need to stoop so low (at this stage). We are a small country pub that pride itself on giving good quality food & Ales at honest prices. All our fresh produce is sourced locally, Meat from Coopers of Aldington, Romney Fish Market, and Vegetables are from Pottern Farm Sellindge. We are always striving to improve our standards and I don’t’ claim to be 100%, we have a welcoming feel and will always accommodate to our customers needs. We supply wheel chair access and toilets as well as baby changing facilities. We have also investing heavily in the garden to make it more appealing to families by supplying a play park on the new lawn area for next year. All I can say to anyone who is not sure whether to come or not try for yourself and make your own mind up (I Believe you wont be disappointed). | Hi There, My partner and I went to the Drum inn today for lunch as we love the pub and location. We looked at the menu on the wall and asked about the soup of the day, which was tomato. I asked the barperson if the soup was freshly made, which she didn't know, she just said the chef makes it up, so I asked is it tinned and she replied no. So we both ordered the soup, i then ordered their Lambs Liver and Bacon and my partner had the Snapper. When the soup came to us, it looked awful. We had a baguette which was cooked from frozen, then halved for us both. I started to taste the soup and immediately realised it was powdered soup as there were lumps congealed at the bottom of the bowl. I approached the barperson and she said she'll take it off the bill, so we waited another 30 minutes for our food to come through. We were not impressed at all with the soup as they were charging GBP4 each for this. When our food arrived, my mash potato was transparent and very unappealing to look at, i went to cut into a peice of liver and blood come out of it. My partenr's snapper was dried up and again looked awful. I approached Landlord who did not seem very concerned and just said what's wrong with it in a tone that did not show any level of customer service. I informed him the liver had blood coming from it and he went over to look for himself, saw it and said nothing. I paid for my two drinks and suggested he sack his chef otherwise he'll end up losing a lot of money. his comment was he's just taken over the pub. This is really sad as this pub is so nice and to have someone running it with this approachreally lets kent down. I would never go back to this pub again even to drink [Report for Removal] | steven rees folkestone kent |
