| My partner and i popped into the Crown and Anchor last year. We sat behind members of off-duty staff, listening to them, i female in particular talking very disrespectfully about some of their paying guests. The guests who pay their wages of course!! The female was loud and liked the sound of her own voice, i shudder to think what else she may have had to say! The staff working that night were lovely. | I stayed overnight at the Crown and Anchor in early December 07, and found it to be a delightfully friendly, traditional inn, with a cosy bar and restaurant. It is run by Keith and Rachel Shell, who were both raised on the island, and clearly love it there. With just four bedrooms, it is small enough to allow for plenty of personal service from the hosts. The food is great, and I learned that Keith is a trained chef.
