| We have been to the Compass several times over the past year. If it had been possible we would have made it our local. The staff are always pleasant and helpful with excellent service. The food is always of an excellent quality and portions are large the price is pretty competitive too. Can personally recomend the steak & ale homemade pie & the mixed grill. | We dined here last night and half the menu was unavailable. The steaks we ordered were overcooked and not very edible. The peas were tinned. A sweet of profiteroles consisted of 3 with chocolate sause at the bottom and squirty cream - for £3.95! At the end of our meals the management were 'unavailable' to take our comments!
