| Went to have lunch on Monday 14th February and was very disappointed with the staff here the lack of service was terrible. We asked two seperate members of staff to take our order and after half an hour still no joy! We then had to wait to pay our drinks bill and when said we would have eaten but nobody took the order then got told " well we are busy aren't we!" | A review of average is a net of some very good and some very bad things. Not much was average. Firstly I find teh opening times odd - not open on saturday afternoon so I could not make a booking by visiting upon my arrival in the area. The man who appears to be the Manager asked for my order 3 times as he kept breaking off to chat with the locals (very rude indeed). Menu was good (not for desserts though AND those were expensive) and we were positioned near the kitchens which was unnecessary. There was too much of a rush to clear the tables and remove empty glasses and bottles which were in fact not empty. | My experience was truly awful,the starter was a soup with chillis in it which was way too hot to enjoy and the main course consisted of a fish pie which obviously had been whacked into microwave and nothing else, no vegetables nothing, the response was that you had to order veg separately however the only veg they had on the menu was chargrilled no proper veg e.g. potatoes carrots etc absolutely appalling as I have been to many places to eat out and have never had to complain.
