| My Family and I had taken a day out from being surrounded by the big smoke. We ventured down into Somerset for a nice long walk that we had been recommended to us. We came across The Barrington Oak at just around lunch time which was perfect for us. It’s a well presented pub, well looked after and there is plenty of room to not feel cramped even when it was packed with people wanting Sunday Roasts (well worth having). The kids loved it, as there is a Skittle Ally at the rear which kept them entertained for some of the time. Fantastic food and nicely priced. The waitress mentioned to us that the new Chef was a semi finalist in the Master Chef series. I will be passing on this walk to other friends and also letting them know about The Barrington Oak. | We visited the Barrington Oak just before christmas and we where very impressed. The food was excellanand ver reasonabley priced and, the service was excellant too. It is very friendly and although we have only been there the once we will be visiting again soon. The village it is in is very picturesque and it looks like it will become a regular meeting for us and our friends throughout the year.
