| Landlord Paul Holt left the pub in March '08 and will be sadly missed. New Landlady is Julie and the pub is no longer a freehouse, but a tied house owned by Holts - a bizarre co-incidence. Beer selection is now severely restricted - reduced from 7 well-kept real ales to 3 indifferent to insipid Holts beers plus one guest. The good-value food continues to be available and forthcoming alterations may improve matters. | The plough is my local so you may think i am bias but i dont think it can be beaten on price for its meals or on its quality beers.Also its publican paul holt is in my view a first class publican and its a great football pub with really great banter between all supporters of many clubs.[Report for Removal] | geoff o connell stoke on trent staffordshire |
