| Five of us went for a meal on Thurs.27 March,2008 and really enjoyed it.For a start there were real log fires to welcome us and then we had a very good selection of real ales and quality wines to choose from for our pre-dinner drinks.The menu had a good range of starters,but we chose 6 of the 7 choices of "nibbles".Superb home baked bread,olives,&anchovies,houmus,etc.There followed good steaks,gammon,lamb,veggy selection,all cooked to perfection.Then coffee or hot chocolate with home made chocolate truffles!The service was attentive,pleasant,¬hing was too much trouble.The wine list was interesting and our red and white were both served at the right temperature .All in all an excellent meal at a fair price.Thank you,Hand and Cleaver for giving us a "Good food experience".[Report for Removal] | Don and Wendy Matthews Driffield East Riding of Yorkshire |
