| The refurbished Cock which has just re-opened is a delight to a cask ale drinkers eyes.Comfortable,well decorated and well lit it was being used by a mixture of different ages and sexes on the afternoon of our visit.A choice of 4 cask ales was available I tried three,Old Hooky,Bass(for old times sake,and very good it was too)and a wild card Summer Telse which was a pale light ale not too my taste but that`s just me.We ate there and the meal was wonderful,service could have been a little faster but they were very busy and we`d been warned of the delay,I didn`t mind as it gave me the chance to have a long conversation with a very chatty Landlord who told me all about Joules`plans for expansion and their estate of some 16 pubs.
