| My wife and myself eat lunch at the Fox and Goose about every two months. The owners are once again running the place and we have always had excellent reasonably priced meals, all home cooked by them. A small lunch menu but using top quality local ingredients. | I was very disapointed at the service here - it took over 1 1/2 hours for our food to arrive - we were a party of 22 which had been booked in to dine for lunch. when the Fish Pie arrived it contained only Haddock in hot milk - that is all I could describe the sauce - (the prawns and salmon were invisible) A very disappointing end to a walk with a lovely group of people.[Report for Removal] | Val Williamson Uttoxeter Staffordshire |

| A warm and welcoming Dining Room with service of equal merits , hands on Owner/Management is very much in evidence here . The meal we had was excellent and the Chef ( owner ) has to be praised for attempting , and succeeding , to produce an interesting, varied and , dare I say ?, challenging Menu .
