| This has been my local for a good few years now and i must say the new management have done an excellent job turning it around . the pool table end has been turned into a really nice restaurant and the food looks really nice although i am yet to try it . tuesday night is steak night with a great offer on . a 6-8oz steak with chips and all the trimmings for a fantastic £12 . also a wide selection of drinks available with real draughts too . friendly staff and punters too . especially kev the keg :-) [Report for Removal] | little waster peterlee county durham |

| A lot of people love the Oaklands, it is quite expensive but the surroundings are pleasant and the range of drinks very good. The food, general bar meals, are of a good standard. Kareoke on a Sat keeps me away as I hate kareoke, but there is a quiz on a Tues which is good. I like this place on a warm summer day for a quiet pleasant pint.
