| Whilst visiting friends they took us to the Boot for dinner and were very impressed. A lovely cosy pub, we were treated to very good food and well kept ales by a young landlord/lady couple we seem to thriving despite the economic climate. There was a very good selection of traditional British dishes to choose from, all of them very well cooked and presented. Highlights were the steak & Stilton pudding and devilled chicken livers, but home potted shrimps and panfried skate wing also were excellant. We live in a town with five pubs, not one of which can compere to the Boot. It almost makes you contemplate moving house![Report for Removal] | Mark Davies Winchcombe Glos |

| Just a short detour off the A36 north of Salisbury we arrived here because another pub we use was closed and The Boot was recommended. Very nice pub, really friendly and helpful staff, well kept pint and great food at reasonable prices (we ate off the lunch/snack menu). Well worth the detour.[Report for Removal] | Paul Bristol Bristol |
