| After reading the review about this pub regarding the high standard of good food, we booked for lunch today as it was my sisters 70th Birthday. Our first impression was that it was a tired run down pub and the decor left a lot to be desired. Still we thought if the food is good this will not matter. We ordered two Roast Beef and two Roast Pork, but were told they had run out of beef at 1.30, so the other alternatives were half a shoulder of lamb or a roast hock of pork. We all had pork and although there was a generous helping of pork the meal was tasteless, small portions of vegatables and the roast potatoes were not well roased either. We have had better roast lunches at Toby Carverys.
