| Used to love the Pilgrim, but after visiting after the relaunch will never be going back. Ordered two meals, one was cold when it reached the table, the other (quiche) was like an omelette in a rubber casing - no flavour at all, let alone the chilli and nettle cheese it was supposed to taste of. | Although the new interior is lovely the same cannot be said for the food, the starter was ok but the salad had grit in it and we ordered steak 'rare' it arrived very well done, tasteless, and quite frankly inedible,will certainly not be visiting again.[Report for Removal] | Helen Dovey Southampton Hants |

| Having avoided this lovely Inn because of the dreadful food for years we are delighted to report that 'much has changed'. It now has refreshed decor, a lovely dining area with waitress service, FABULOUS food at reasonable prices and equally polite and happy staff. The washrooms have been modernised to a high standard.
