| old fashioned welcoming pub,that serves a decent pint and provides a cracking roast lunch on a sunday.No fruit machines,music or pool tables just a gem of a local with roaring fire in winter,a huge beer garden for outside supping and a friendly welcome from stuart,julie and their staff.The pub is always clean, the cat is suitably fat and lazy and there always seems to be someone up for a chat.There are three ales on offer,plus well kept guiness,a reasonable selection of wines and the usual spirits etc.my fave pub in the area.[Report for Removal] | jon ryder southampton hampshire |

| This pub has many roles throughout the seasons. In the winter a real drinkers pub, darts etc, good atmosphere a lot of locals use this pub and quite a 'mans' pub. In the winter there is a Garden which is enclosed with decking for the adults to sit and watch their children. Or for a couple to watch the sunset go down over the houses. Just out of the village of Lowford and amongst the beginning of old Bursledon, quite a nice setting. Good beer prices.
