| This pub is generally friendly and the staff are helpful. HOwever the cooking is awful. Who trains staff to think it is acceptable to serve burnt burgers and crucified cod? This is not one off. I have eaten there regularly and there is always something that is drastically overcooked or a detail left unchecked. | This is very much a 'Brewers Fayre' restaurant/pub for families with kids, hence the two-for-one meal deals. Its great for young families as the food is basic, but over the past couple of years the standard of cooking as declined. Its very much microwave style, so its pot-luck if the food is under/over cooked or just plain rubbery! Oh, and you have to queue - a lot. wait in a queue to be seated, queue again to order food, queue again to order drinks and queue again to pay the bill.[Report for Removal] | Gweev Southampton Hampshire |

| This pub use to be a great pub, until they refurbished and made it a bit more regimented... You aren't allowed to just wander and find a seat to sit for your meal, you have to wait to be seated and that is a golden rule for them - not to be broken. When the meals come they are pretty much ok, hot and delicious, and they do great deals - two for one offers, which makes it all worth while. This is a great family pub with fantastic childrens garden and outdoor space for the adults in the summer to sit and watch their 'darlings' play. There is also a field nearby with some horses in. This pub is right on the main road, so a bit nosiy, but you don't really notice it as the setting is very nice.
