| The crows nest is now under new management so i thought id pop in and see what had changed. i was really impressed, the pub was alot cleaner, the food was very good, decent size portions, home made and very good value i will be coming back for more. | we were told this was a family pub so was a bit alarmed when going to the bar for a drink it was full of 18-20 year olds !!(just knew we would be in for a sleepless night) our room was not very clean at all sink was filthy and tea stains on the table cloth covering the little coffee table bed wes clean though no sheet just a mattress cover could have been such a lovely room oak panels and sash windows no on suite (our fault as we didnt ask ) bathroom very tatty and seperate toilet not very clean a lot of noise from the 18-20's out side at 1am breakfast ok [Report for Removal] | jones hereford hereford |

| The grand children relaxed in the cheerful welcoming atmosphere and loved being able to play outside away from us grown-ups who were able to thouroughly appreciate the plentiful, beautifully presented, tasty lunches. The "daily specials" board supplemented the basic menu with some interesting extras like courgette and brie crumble. The music was set at a perfect level allowing us to have a quiet family chat without being deafened or overhearing others . Thank you Kerrie, we look forward to coming back. Peter and Carole. | We live in Cyprus and stayed at The Crows Nest from 23 May to 27 May. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. In fact, a few times I remarked on the fact that the Landflady, Kerry, no matter what time of day, would walk about doing her chores humming or singing. She is a real treasure. Breakfast - I think you would be hard put to find a better one anywhere in Southampton. There was more than enough to eat even with their evening meals. The bed was clean and fresh. The only thing I would criticise is the need for redecoration and refurbishment, particularly upstairs. It must be a nightmare to keep clean but I know that Kerry and her staff do not stint on their cleaning, food or service. I shall return to Southampton next year and hopefully be able to stay with Kerry again - if she'll have me! Well done to you and your staff. | This pub has recently been taken over, the old has been taken out and the new brought in. The pub is now cleaner and brighter, although will probably take a while to get back on its feet as a 'real boozer'.
