| I found the Trout by accident when searching for my B&B, whose post code my GPS refused to recognise, on a very wet evening in September. Although the pub was not yet open, I saw a light on and went for help. The owner/chef was so helpful it encouraged me to return for my evening meal. The special was fish in a beer batter and it was absolutely delicious. It couldn't have been fresher and the price seemed excellent to me. | I HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM THE TROUT INN HAVING HAD THE MOST DELICOUS SUNDAY LUNCH . THE SERVICE WAS DELIGHTFUL AND VERY PROFESSIONAL, ALTHOUGH THE PRICES ARE A LITTLE MORE THAN YOU WOULD PAY IN OTHER PUB RESTAURANTS. | I have been at the trout inn with my 8 friend after a long walk. They took our food order and let us park our cars on their car park. Food was excellent,service was great. All home made food with great taste. Pub has got cosy feeling. Specially by the fire place. Over all we had lovely day out and great food. Also they do accept dogs. | Great food, nice location, appaling service. We went for Sunday lunch today and the selection for the one vegetarian in our party was fairly limited. He ordered a vegetable quiche, and when his food arrived he was presented with a meaty quiche Lorraine. By the time the correct quiche arrived, we'd all finished eating, so we asked to not pay for his meal to make up for the inconvenience. He was offered a free drink to make up for it, which didn't really cut the mustard. When he persisted complaining, the manager became quite aggressive.
