| New landlords Neil and Sheena opened the doors after decorating throughout in February 2010.All the previous clutter has gone and you can now get a pint of real ale without the barstaff disapearing out the back to get it.There is more room at and around the bar and service is quicker.Food is Excellent and reasonably priced and the kitchen has the landlady(a chef) in there all the time the kitchen is open.It is now open on Sunday evenings and presumably it will open full time at Christmas and New year.(It used to close for about 3/4 days before over the festive season).Neil is very friendly and pulls a good pint.Pricewise all the beers and spirits are the same as the other pubs in the Village within a copper or two.Looks like a good start for the new landlords.Nearly forgot to mention spongebob who works behind the bar who is a very pleasant likeable member of staff.(Comments from A Prince of Wales regular)[Report for Removal] | Mr B Regular Shrivenham Swindon |

| Its a real shame that such a picturesque village pub is spoilt by its landlord. The patrons are a great bunch, who give it a nice atmosphere, but then this is ruined by the landlord Mike who runs it with no understanding of what a public house should be. Its closed on Sundays, it doesn't open on New Years Eve, you know the times when the public might want to use it. He is rude and up his own rear end, we were over charged for our food, and upon questioning the bill we were given abuse by him as if it was our fault that we they tried to charge us for 14 main meals rather than the 12 we had ordered. He was so abusive my wife does not want to go there ever again, and for that reason we shall not be going there again![Report for Removal] | Unhappy Customer Shrivenham Wiltshire |
