| My family visited here on Mothers Day and we were really surprised with the food, it was better than expected for a reasonable price. I was however really disappointed with the service. As it was Mothers Day there were 3 sittings which seemed ambitious, this would of worked well if the food had of been brought out very quickly but everything seemed fine until the manager possibly came to the table and made a point of looking at his watch before asking us if we wanted a dessert... which we did, he then checked his watch again and went off without a word. We then felt pressured to get out quickly... especially when he added another table to the end of ours in ready for the next sitting. A family celebration was spoilt. | Another Arkells pub, awful ale at the best of times! Opted for Guinness and Fish & Chips, stout was fine. The fish was obviously frozen, supermarket style, not fresh & was undercooked. Poor.[Report for Removal] | David Swindon Wilts |
