| This is a 'Community pub' which is actually quite nice. The decor is tasteful, albeit slightly let down by to many promotional posters. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the cherry on the cake here are the prices. The prices are VERY competetive, for both food and drink. The meals are delicious, and again VERY inexpensive. You can actually afford to take your family out for a meal here. The service is prompt and the quality and presentation of the dishes are superb. The pub is mainly used by middle-aged couples and families (kids out by 9 pm however) but is does have a 'sports-bar' annex through to a seperate bar area. My only criticism is that some regulars (women too) are allowed to be a bit too loud, and so their language after a few drinks becomes too flowery' for younger ears. Equally, soes it REALLY need a large screen TV showing SPORT all of the time? That need is catered for through in the Annex. My advice to management is to drop some of the posters encouraging irresponsible drinking, and keep the tone of the environment in check, one where you could comfortably take your granny or infant.
