| Stopped off last night on the way back from Bristol Zoo with the kids and found the pub by chance. Having been disappointed by many Newbury Pubs recently, this place was a real find. It was very child friendly. It was packed with people, but still maintained good service as our food order came out in about 20 mins. There were seriously big portions and at very good prices. For what we paid it was excellent value and the meal was tasty and came on an extra large plate which was needed to ahndle the huge portions! The Steaks looked good too and were amazingly cheap. Highly recommended if a little hard to find - so you may need to use your Sat Nav. Only downside was due to some of the clientele. One or two of the larger parties on adjoining tables were rowdy and shouting - my daughter heard them swearing which was a little off-putting. [Report for Removal] | Steve Larkins Newbury Berkshire |
