| Searching for pubs in the Cotswold area on line, The Vine Tree Inn was highlighted. My wife and I booked a table and arrived with great expectancy. I can only say that in all honesty the occasion was very disappointing. The welcome was cool to say the least and although the meat I had ordered was good, the meal looked all plate and very little food. Management in places such as this should realise that most people still prefer to have a substantial meal and leave the premises feeling well fed. | From R.Henderson, Hertford, Herts. Motorway stops on the M4 are dismal and gastronomic deserts that get worse the nearer to Wales. A short diversion to Norton (good map reading or satnav a great help here) and a refreshing lunch break with flavoursome and excellent food guaranteed, As the Michelin guides say, worth a diversion.
