| I had dinner at the George and Dragon in Rowde with a few friends. We were smartly dressed and quiet. The food was fine, but the service was atrocious. The restaurant's owner and servers were rude. Each one acted as though they were doing us a supreme favour by letting us dine there. We felt as if they wanted us to hurry up and eat, give them money and get out the door. | We find the George a great place to go and eat lunch or dinner any time of the year. You always receive a warm welcome, a roaring fire and the freshest fish, wonderfully prepared this side of Bath(and probably beyond).The current proprietors, who have been there a few years now, have continued to improve their menu content and wine selections which ensures on every visit you may experievce something new but with consistant quality.
