| First visit since new management took over. Previously the food here was as bad is it can get so confident we were in for better things. The decor is delightful & in sympathy with the building. The views cannot really be diminished....only by Marple's appalling weather most of the year. As for the food our expectations were somewhat dashed. We used to travel a lot in Turkey in the 70's & know what a wonderfully varied cuisine they have. Apart from the now rather mundane lasagne & veg.moussaka everything else on the menu was grilled meat. The aubergine mezze starter tasted more of yogourt than aubergine. The mixed grill came pure & simple without any evidence of a marinade or dip to add some relish.It's accompanying salad consisted of tasteless kos lettuce with some slices of tomato & cucumber....again no dressing of any kind. It took me right back to the salads of my childhood in the 50's. One has only to venture as far as Marple Coop to find an imaginative selection of salad leaves nowadays. | Expensive,poor ale,poor drinks, poor service, greasy,bland, unatttentive and non-apologetic for the disgracful service and food- would not recommend to anyone unless you like overprice food that tastes of nothing.
