| We have used the Lamb Inn two or three times a year for several years as a useful meeting place for family members spread over a wide area. The poor reviews here have never matched our experience. The service has been friendly and efficient though slowed down at busy times which is often - it's a popular place. The lunchtime food is also good if a little predictable. It is also a cosy place (sometimes a bit cramped) but that is part of its attractiveness.[Report for Removal] | Alan Machin Halifax West Yorkshire |

| I am suprised at the most recent comment - I have eaten here a few times over the last year and always found the food to be a good quality and at least it is cooked on the premises unlike some of the "modern" chain pubs (like some of its near neighbours) that just microwave up stuff that it has shipped in. Like at lot of pubs that have gone over to making food its main business it loses a little on the atmosphere but the staff in my visits have been excellent - very friendly and welcoming[Report for Removal] | G Williams Buxton Derbyshire |

| This place is the pits. An absolute shocker. Fresh crab = tinned crab. Home made meat and potato pie cooked to death - in fact it was a death trap. When we refused to pay for the pie the owner claimed the top was golden brown, we disagreed and called it burnt. Oh, the fish my wife had was clearly frozen and unpalletable. Never going near this place again - THEY CAN SEE YOU COMING!!!![Report for Removal] | Rob Wood Huddersfield West Yorkshire |

| We have just had the most pleasant and enjoyable evening at The Lamb Inn. The service and the quality of our meals were fantastic. The present owners have managed to create a warm and friendly atmosphere and we will certainly be visiting The Lamb Inn again in the near future.[Report for Removal] | Clair Jackson Poynton Cheshire |

| WE HAVE VISITED THE LAMB 3-4 TIMES A YEAR SCINCE 1980 WHEN IT WAS OWNED BY AN IRISHMAN CALLED JOE.THE PUB WAS ALWAYS VERY BUSY ANS SERVED GOOD TRADITIONAL PUB MEALS.THE LAMB HAS CHANGED OWNERS A FEW TIMES SCINCE,BUT THE FOOD HAS ALWAYS BEEN VERY GOOD.WE DECIDED TO VISIT ON SUNDAY 1ST APRIL,WHAT A SHOCK WE HAD. ON THE ROADSIDE WAS A SIGN "NEW OWNERS,NEW MENU" THE CAR PARK WAS ALWAYS FULL,ON THIS OCCASION IT WAS ONLY HALF FULL,THE FIRST ROOM WAS EMPTY.THE OPEN LOG FIRE HAS GONE. WE APPROACED THE BAR TO BE GREETED BY "A TABLE FOR 3",AS THIS IS A PUB WE ALWAYS CHOSE OUR OWN TABLE. I TRIED TO ORDER DRINKS AT THE BAR,ONLY TO BE USHERED TO A TABLE AND TOLD THE WAITRESS WILL SERVE THE DRINKS. WE WERE GIVEN A MENU,THE GOOD VALUE PUB FOOD ,THE LAMB WAS NOTED FOR HAS BEEN REPLACED BY FOOD WORTHY OF A 5* RESTRAUNT AND THE PRICES WERE VERY EXPENSIVE. I NOW KNEW WHY THE PUB WAS A QUARTER FULL. WE PAID FOR THE DRINKS AND LEFT,TO EAT SOMWHERE ELSE[Report for Removal] | michael davies STOCKPORT CHESHIRE |
