| Looking forward to a real treat but sadly it took almost two hours for them to serve my table for two, there was only another table occupied and this was for four people, everyone (all six customers) ordered the fish and chips ( I thought this would be a quicker choice. The long wait ruined the day,our appettites were well past it by the time the food arrived. I welcome the notion of food cooked to order - that was why I travelled almost 50 miles to try it. | These days we judge a walk 'good' by the pub lunch in the middle of the walk. The Greyhound is excellent - good beers, lovely welcome, nicely furnished and the food is excellent. The choice is different but not quirky, well cooked and well presented (the same menu for children but smaller portions - nice change from nuggets and chips.) We had the steak and ale pie and the trout which was to die for. The only disappointment - no room for a pud! Would definitely recommend.[Report for Removal] | Gail Bales Nottingham Nottinghamshire |
