| Never felt so strongly to have to write a negative comment about the service and customer care. Had Christmas day dinner booked at this pub as previously we have had very good service and the food was of good quality. Obviously Christmas day dinner is a special family occasion and of course the pub managers are going to jam pack the place but this was to the determent of the customer experience and the time to get served. We booked the meal back in October and was really looking forward to a good meal. We arrived at 1.00pm, and still hadn’t had our main meal by 3pm. When the meals arrived they were cold and my meal didn’t even have roasties on and my sisters mash had a lovely skin on it, very appetizing. We decided to leave without eating our cold meals. very frustrated and angry and especially having to pay £45.00 for a bowl of onion soup, we didn’t want to cause a scene as it was Christmas day and others were still waiting for their meals. we complained to the manageress who couldn’t understand what the problem was, she offered that she would wrap the meals for us to take home (reheat turkey? Health food and hygiene issues) she would give no refund. So our Christmas day was ruined and no understanding or acknowledgement from the manager about the very poor service and quality of the food provided. My brother visited the pub a couple of days later to try to discuss the issues we had but again no apology or refund or acknowledgment that the service she had provided was at anyway at fault . I just feel that it was a great shame that the management of this pub seem to think higher of quick profit making events rather than back to basics of great customer care and return business or recommendation.[Report for Removal] | Rieplay stevenage Herts |

| We attend The Fisherman for all family occasions, the staff are polite and helpful and the management team are always willing to cater to any need we may have. we wouldn't consider going to any other pub in Stevenage for a meal. we love the food and the atmosphere. | My family and I regularly eat at The Fisherman. I have always found the food to be well above average and well timed. On another note, the staff are always attentive and polite. We thoroughly enjoy going to The Fisherman and we will continue to do so despite the views and responses of others. [Report for Removal] | Charlotte stevenage herts |

| This pub is no doubt the worst pub I have ever eaten in! I did not get the same waitress twice, the food was slow and not what I would expect when eating out, more of a microwave meal. I and my husband waited over an hour for our main courses before giving up. And on approaching the bar staff was redirected in the direction of the female owner. Who told very rudely that we could not be refunded for the food we have not received. There were main reason for this.. 1) they cook the food fresh - wrong as they slow cooked lamb ( which we had ordered) should start being cooked before service. I know I this am I am myself in the trade. 2) We only waited 20 mins as she took our order, although when she saw our receipt stating the time she refused to show it to me (as it would have shown we waited over an hour ago) I have never been so appalled with the service I received, even when saying I would not come back to the pub she told me she did not need my customer and did she look like she was a charity, giving out free food. This is by far the worst pub I have very visited in Hertfordshire, I have never been somewhere, where they refuse point blank to refused you any money, off your meal if you are unhappy. I personally would have walked out within out paying but we paid when sitting down. I recommend that you do not go to this pub as they don’t need the custom and you let everyone you know the same thing. [Report for Removal] | Caroline Stevenage Herts |
