I ate here on the weekend and every table was reserved (Sunday evening)which in it's self told me how good this place was, so if you're thinking of going here for a meal I would advise you to book beforehand. The menu was exciting and mouthwatering. The staff were all very pleasant. When the food arrived I was taken back by the presentation alone. It was delicious, my husband and I both chose from the special's board and we were really pleased with the meals we were presented with. The decor of the place is really lovely and very very clean. The garden area is very nice to sit in and the village of Stackpole is a pretty well kept area. All in all the whole experience of Stackpole, the surrounding area and of course the meal to top it all off was one of the best.[Report for Removal] Karen Thomas

This unique building nestles in the heart of the attractive village of Stackpole in South Pembrokeshire. It is close to some beautiful local beaches and the stunning lakes and woodland of the Stackpole Estate. The first impression is that this is a well run establishment. The landlord and landlady exude a pleasant air of hospitality and control. The staff are cheerful and obviously well trained, which is a refreshing change from many inns and restaurants. The standard printed menu offers a decent range of dishes but the specials board presents an exciting selection of fresh fish, each prepared in an individual way. Since the board is not displayed in the eating areas, it requires a kind of memory test when returning to one's table to make a decision. A daily printed sheet would be welcome and aid pre-digestion juices. One key to the efficiency and credibility of an eating place is the time it takes for the food to appear after placing your order. If it's very quick you wonder: frozen? microwave? A long wait is frustrating and spoils the whole experience. Here, they've got it just right. The food is obviously fresh and the chef and kitchen staff are skilled. Some recent visits by myself and friends were most enjoyable. The generous portions of fish were fresh, all dishes were beautifully prepared and attention to detail was faultless. Salads were crisp and interesting and the desserts were equally delicious. The landlady monitors proceedings in an unobtrusive way. The food here is not cheap, but quality comes at a price. I thoroughly recommend treating yourself at The Stackpole Inn.[Report for Removal] David Pendleton
