The Nags Head does have a lovely setting, in woodland next to the Cych river. It has quaint timber fixtures and fittings and is very welcoming, with a nice wood fire in the winter. However, unlike the previous reviewer, I found the food to be very mediocre. My steak and kidney pudding was very salty and although it was OK, I thought the price was rather steep for something that wasn't especially good. My dining companion wasn't keen on the food either and ate hardly anything, which was most surprising for a person with a normally very healthy appetite! In addition, we were both slightly put off by the resident cat that went from table to table begging for food by miaowing at people eating (from the floor thankfully, it didn't jump up). In summary, it's a lovely place to go for a drink, but I wouldn't eat there again.[Report for Removal] Pip Smith

This pub is a real hidden treasure, it has its own micro brewery, sits next to a river with an old bridge next door. Quiet location, ideal for a walk in the woods after a harty meal. It has a small road between the pub and the garden which is next to the river, with childrens play area. A large car park, and food that will leave you well satisfied, without costing a fortune. The Specials board is always worth a look at. Real Open fire is very welcomeing during the winter, and the display of world beers is of great interest. When you visit, ask about the "big rat!" Pity there are no pictures to see, or menu to brouse. Sometimes they have strange opening times and holidays when you least expect them, therefore, sometimes you may get there to find that they are closed. (really dissappointing). Overall Great![Report for Removal] Dave
