| I was very dissapointed we went for lunch on sunday 7th June. I used to go in all the time since I was little (26 years) used to go with our family and i loved it, everything used to be great. I moved out of the area but every time I go back to barnsley I go to the Eastfield for a drink and some food. This time there was hardly any people in (it used to be heaving on a sunday), I ordered smothered chicken and chips, because everything else i fancied on the menu they had run out of, we had to wait half hour, and it looked like it had just been thrown on the plate, the chips were awful, it came on a little plate and there was hardly anything there. The other people I went with were unhappy too. Then I went to order deserts, i was one of the first to get to the bar, there were 2 people serving and i had to wait for 20 minutes as they kept serving other people before me. To sum it up the staff were slow and none of them smiled, the food was awful, service was rubbish, and the tables were all sticky as though they had been wiped with a dirty cloth. I am very dissapointed. It needs new management. The manager was more bothered about telling the staff to go check on her dogs out the back instead of serving her customers. I have run pubs before and this is just pure bad management. I cant see the Eastfield lasting much longer the way it is now.[Report for Removal] | sarah cooper Byram West Yorkshire |

| I have used the Eastfield as a last resort place to eat, my kids love it sorry but I dont, the service is late and the food poor to moderate at the best. My spirits were lifted however when we heard that the pub had undergone a total redecoration I hoped that maybe the menu and service would have had one as well,but afterpromising my seven year old daughter a easter treat of lunch in this pub, imagine how we felt when on entering we were told that my daughter had to leave. What crime had this young child commited?? She was wearing a high school musical top.....with a hood. "Hoodies are not allowed" we were informed before turning their back on us, "can we tuck the hood into the top?" we asked, "no" we were told without any further explination, Sorry but discretion could have been used by the staff on the bar . So my summing up of this pub is if you want poor service, poor food and discrimination on your choice of clothing by all means head to the Eastfield Arms.[Report for Removal] | cally Barnsley South Yorkshire |

| When I was in this pub I was opn the bandit and I put a 20 pound note in it. This was not acnowledged so I asked the manager, Gloria, what I should do. She then refused to serve me, refused to give me info as to how to retrieve my $20 and refused to serve me or my friends again.My friends were told that they could not be served in case they gave me a drink, my husband was refused because he was with me and I was askerd to leave.
