| Would like to say that now the pub has been taken over by a very proffesional team who endure to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The new landlord and landlady took this pub over July 2009 and is well worth a visit. The ambience of the place is second to none and the food and cask beers are varied and tasty. | We were part of a large party that had pre-booked tables and food. Starters came within 20 mins of sitting down and were excellent. Then we waited approx. 75 mins before being served with main course. Others in our party had already finished their meal 20 mins previously. The food again was piping hot, the meat (lamb shank)was very tender and tasty but vegetables very undercooked. No apologies for delay were made and management of establishment very rude to some members of our party. It was obvious they were not up to catering for so many. | The food was very good but alas that was when it eventually arrived. The landlord well put it this way he was pleasant to our faces but when our back's were turned he called the members of our car club to his locals. When confronted about all of this he could not handle the arguments that all this caused in the pub. Therefore he passed the book to his very rude wife who denied everything. I strongly recommend a change of management for this Inn as the present landlord and landlady are dragging it down to there level (The Gutter) with there attitudes towards good paying customers. | Food very good but it took a long time to arrive despite being pre-ordered. The landlord used foul language and discussed some customers with other customers.... very strange and offensive behaviour. | Terrible attitude to PAYING customers, Landlord would not acknowledge any complaints, always left that to his wife. We had a booking for 50 people, and they managed to offend more or less everyone, obviously couldn't manage large bookings , which they admitted too, but look what they promote on their web page, also in the actual bar area (large bookings taken). | we had arranged to hold our annual christmas dinner here. Many of the club members had travelled for over 2hours to get here. Nice venue BUT a distinct lack of proffesional manners from both the landlord who was clearly talking to one of the locals at the bar about "US". The food took an age to be served nearly 2 hours for some..... Then this is where the landlady pipped in and said if we wanted fast food we should have gone to Mc Ds ........not a very proffesional comment in my eyes considering its the middle of winter when the tourists are not readily available the large amount of guests today added up to a considerable amount of money and all food was ordered in advance. Many small businesses these days cannot afford to turn people away, as Im sure this small insignificant pub cant do either. Anyway decent courtesy is all that was required and a simple explanation would have sufficed but people were verbally abused and basically sent packing (barred) for passing opinion to the landlady.Need I say any more I wouldnt recommend this pub to anyone simply because of the bad attitude given to paying customer (Robin hood wasnt as bad as these guys)[Report for Removal] | GGaw Leeds west yorkshire |

| Food was all pre ordered,and tables booked for 13.00hrs,Everybody started too arrive and all having a welcoming drink,we all sat down too eat 50 in total,the food started too come out very slowly, some starters finished even before others had received theres,Mains came out very slowly.Then we heard the Landlord talking aboutus too his locals,but not all good saying orders had been changed which was not true.Then the final insult they insulted our PTcruisers.As sooped up crap!,needless too say we are not going there again, how much lost revenew![Report for Removal] | JON ANDERSON NOTTINGHAM ENGLAND |
