| Just left the Beehive's 1st Beer Festival. An excellent experience... good choices of very well kept beers, ciders and wines. Food, live entertainment and an easygoing family atmosphere. Favoured by the weather too. A quintessentially `English` day out- and for charity too. Well done and good luck for the next one. | Traditional pub. Excellent food at reasonable prices. Extensive menu and good selection of beers. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Only non-positive (very reluctant to use "negative"!)- food took some time to be served but this was probably due to the fact that it was Quiz Night (Tuesday) and most customers seemed to be eating. Nevertheless, well worth the wait.[Report for Removal] | V Howard Worksop Notts |

| Excellent real ale. I sank a couple of pints of Landlord on my visit. I ate chicken in an Italian tomato sauce with vegetables and my partner, a sirloin steak with spicy prawns in a combination meal. Total price at just over £15 was a snip. Particularly appreciated the no-smoking area in the lounge so we weren't obliged to ingest anyone's second-hand cigarette smoke. The pub's location in a pretty, historic village, a short distance from the picturesque Chesterfield Canal and, within but a few miles of Junction 31 of the M1, also lends itself to a pleasant evening out in the summer months.
