| My favourite pub in Dronfield. Always a friendly welcome from the staff and excellent food and ale with advice on both freely given and informative. The food is all home cooked by resident chefs Mark and Rob and their team and changes daily using local and seasonal produce. Even the chocolates with the coffee are home made! The pub is managed by Katherine from New Zealand and her partner Kelly brews the beer at Thornbridge Brewery at Ashfor near Bakewell so it is always up to scratch.It is also next to the Famous Sheffield FC which has the honour of being the oldest football club in the world, as recognised by FIFA. | This is a charming little pub serving excellent food and drink. Beers are from the local Thornbridge Brewery with something to suit all tastes.Food is more restaurant standard with a limited menu which changes everyday but the quality is very good with high standards of presentation. There is an extensive wine menu.
